Olympic Games

Excitement filled the gymnasium at Orchard Hills as second grade students kicked off their very own Olympic Games with a vibrant torch lighting ceremony. Each class proudly represented one of the core Olympic values—Determination (keep on trying), Respect (your actions matter), Courage (being scared but doing it anyway), Excellence (doing your very best), Resilience (being willing to change), and Collaboration (working together for success). The students marched around the gym waving flags, their faces beaming with pride and anticipation.

As the students represented their class in their class color, cheers echoed throughout the gym, and the students pledged to embody these values throughout the games ahead. The event not only celebrated athletic fun, but also reinforced the importance of character, teamwork, and perseverance. With such a spirited start, Orchard Hills’ second graders are sure to have an Olympic Games to remember!OHOHOHOHOHOH
