Kindergarten has been studying colonial towns and the roles of different townspeople, learning about the many trades that helped communities thrive.

Today, students explored the work of bread makers, millers, and bakers. We were lucky to have a parent volunteer visit our class to share how bread is made, explaining the ingredients, tools, and process. Students even got to taste some delicious artisan bread, making the experience both fun and memorable!

We sure love moments like this! The genuine friendship and joy captured here truly warms our hearts. We are so grateful for the wonderful students who make our school such a special place. At Orchard Hills, we learn, we care, and we lead!

Payson City is having their Pay It Forward Challenge April 25, 2026. This event is held at the beautiful Memorial Park. This is a fun event for the whole family. The cost is only $1 per person, under 3 is free. The Pay It Foward Challenge is a mile or 5k walk/run. We love to see families coming together to be a part of this fun challenge. When the runners return to the park, they are given a medal, t-shirt, and a gift card. The idea is to go into the business of that gift card and pay it forward to someone who is already shopping at the store. What a fun morning to have the opportunity to stay physically fit and pay it forward in our community. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

We’d like to give a huge shout out to Christine Brown, our Arts Integration Coach! Our students loved all of the art activities Ms. Brown did with them while helping them learn about visual arts along the way.

We are excited to invite parents and children to our tenth annual Brain Fair on Saturday, April 11th, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in the Liberal Arts (LA) building hallway at Utah Valley University.
This event offers children of all ages the chance to explore the brain, neurons, and the senses through hands-on activity stations created by UVU undergraduate students under psychology faculty mentorship. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to engage together in science learning and spark curiosity about the human brain.
Please see the attached flyer for additional details.

Congratulations to our Kindness Week coloring contest winners! We are so proud of the talented and creative students we have!
